Non-Formal and adult Education

Khawaja Welfare Society did work on Non-Formal and adult education from 2003 to 2009. This was a project of Punjab government, to raise the literacy rate. During this project, 146 centers were founded in distant areas of Tehsil Esa Khel. In every centre, 30 students were under the supervision of a female teacher. These students were granted certificates at the end of 6 months and 1 year training courses. These courses equipped the women to keep the record of day to day expenses, gardening, poultry farming, sowing vegetables and sewing clothes.
